TO THOSE JOINING AS ACTIVE MEMBERS 1/19/09
Our mission is to supply the general public with the knowledge that we have, of what is really happening in our Nation.I have set up the structure of this site. Now we as members must contribute the information, so that people who don't know can easily understand it to help them. I ask all to submit factual articles and news stories with relevant links so that we may place them in their proper category assessed by relevance and importance. In order to get things started on track, I have made the decision to moderate submissions to prevent misinformation and subversion. All forums and blog posts will be open but monitored from time to time. I know everyone has alot of important information to help our fellow citizens and I ask for your contributions.
There are some areas of service to this site we could use help with. Please check the
Forum section "Getting Involved" for a description, also please leave a message of anything you would like to volunteer for or can do to help out.

Welcome to "Do You Know?"
We have to admit to ourselves that we don’t know everything and should not pretend to do so. Most often any information that we have, has been given to us by a sources that we consider reliable and knowledgable. This would be the Media, Elected officials, Teachers and Professors. We accept that information more times than not without any personal investigation.
With all that is happening today in our country and what we are told, can we really be sure that the information we are hearing is an accurate picture of the landscape. Do you accept the explanations you are told at face value?
I am not trying to convince you one way or another but ask that you read the following quotes.
The Media:
"Our job is to give people not what they want,
but what we decide they ought to have." "
Richard Salant Pres. CBS News 1964-66
People everywhere confuse what they read in newspapers with news."
A. J. Liebling
"In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, shipbuilding, and powder interest, and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press. … They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. An agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers."
Oscar Callaway
"The ruling class has the schools and press under its thumb. This enables it to sway the emotions of the masses."
Albert Einstein
The Government:
Fear is the foundation of most governments; but it is so sordid and brutal a passion, and renders men in whose breasts it predominates so stupid and miserable, that Americans will not be likely to approve of any political institution which is founded on it.
John Adams
The Education system
Our schools have been scientifically designed to prevent over-education from happening. The average American [should be] content with their humble role in life, because they're not tempted to think about any other role.
William Harris U.S. Commisioner of Education 1888
Education is a weapon, whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.
Joseph Stalin
The Federal Reserve and the I.R.S.
"If the American people ever allow the banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation, and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property, until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power of money should be taken from banks and restored to Congress and the people to whom it belongs. I sincerely believe the banking institutions having the issuing power of money, are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies."
Thomas Jefferson
Do any of these quotes resemble in any way, what you know to be true with what is happening?
Now you have to ask yourself “what do I truly know about where I get my information, what are my elected officials doing and who is teaching our kids”?
Have you taken the time to to do your own research?
Are you truly aware of what are your constitutional rights?
Are your Elected Officials upholding their Oath of Office in the execution of their duties?
Is the curriculum being taught in our schools comprehensive and educational?
"The liberties of our country,
the freedom of our civil Constitution,
are worth defending at all hazards;
and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks.
We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors:
they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure
and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence.
It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation,
enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us
by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them
by the artifices of false and designing men."
Samuel Adams
